McCormick Advances AI-Driven Supply Chain with OMP’s Autonomous Planning Platform

ATLANTA, GEORGIA – 08/12/2025 – (SeaPRwire) – As manufacturers continue racing toward autonomous and AI-enabled supply chain operations, McCormick & Co. has taken a notable step by expanding its digital transformation roadmap with the deployment of next-generation operational planning capabilities from OMP. The flavor company is using OMP’s Unison Planning™ platform to unify assembly-to-order (ATO) and make-to-stock (MTS) production within a single, AI-driven decision environment.

The initiative addresses several complex challenges that arise when balancing custom and standard production streams on shared manufacturing lines. Key objectives include strengthening inventory forecasting through quality-based stock release processes, improving capacity management amid demand volatility, and ensuring synchronized planning across North America and EMEA operations. Initial launches will take place in Canada and the U.S., followed by broader rollouts across EMEA and APAC.

Through its collaboration with OMP, McCormick is adopting an autonomous, agentic-AI planning approach designed to reduce friction in production sequencing, improve sourcing decisions, and enhance responsiveness across the supply chain. The technology enables planners to respond faster to supply disruptions or market shifts and to optimize alignment between demand signals and production timelines. Expected outcomes include improved cost control, reduced waste, better cash efficiency, and indirect boosts to service levels and revenue.

“We’re really excited about this technology as part of our roadmap of digital transformation,” said Whitney Shlesinger, VP of Global Planning and Logistics at McCormick. “We’re embracing AI to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen our supply chain against volatility.”

Philip Vervloesem, Chief Commercial & Markets Officer at OMP, noted that McCormick’s approach demonstrates how autonomous planning and empowered teams can support agility and resilience: “Together, we are embedding AI in a way that supports agility, collaboration, and innovation across their supply chain.”
