By: TechVanguard – SeaPRwire – Keyword alerts still miss most brand appearances inside video. A logo flashes for three seconds. A creator mentions a product while the camera is pointed elsewhere. Traditional tools never see it. Multimodal systems that read visual, audio and context together are rare and expensive to prove outside a home market. Buzz & Beyond just signed its first U.S. commercial data agreement. The real test starts after the free pilots expire.

On 5 October 2026 in San Francisco the Seoul-based company announced the deal with a Silicon Valley analytics firm. The agreement arrives ahead of its appearance at TechCrunch Disrupt, where it was selected for Startup Battlefield 200, the early-stage cohort drawn from thousands of global applicants. The company has also signed non-disclosure agreements with four U.S. firms while it explores sales and operational collaborations in North America. Its platform, vling, uses multimodal artificial intelligence to analyse social video on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. It processes visual, audio and contextual signals and converts them into structured business intelligence. Brands, media buyers and influencer-marketing agencies use the system to monitor brand mentions and sentiment, analyse advertising placements and identify creators who show strong brand affinity. Founder and CEO Charley Shim said the model was built and proved in Korea and is now being brought to the United States. Shim previously co-founded a mobile-gaming startup that went public in South Korea. Over the past three years more than two thousand Korean businesses, ranging from large enterprises to small and medium-sized firms, have paid for the service. Revenue has roughly doubled each year during that period. The company is expanding U.S. operations as demand grows for tools that can analyse what is being said about brands across social video. Unlike keyword-based monitoring, vling examines the content inside the videos to determine when and how brands appear and the context in which they are discussed. Buzz & Beyond intends to use TechCrunch Disrupt to introduce the platform to U.S. brands, agencies and technology partners and to enlarge its customer and partnership pipeline. Interested parties can apply for a thirty-day free pilot. The conference runs from 13 to 15 October in San Francisco.
The commercial filter is conversion, not attendance. Track how many of the thirty-day pilots that begin after Disrupt turn into paid contracts within the following quarter. Track whether the first Silicon Valley data partner expands the relationship beyond the initial agreement. Those two numbers will show whether the Korean proof can travel.
